OWLS Discussion Group Reveals Topics for 2012

The OWLS Discussion Group returns for 2012!

2011 was a growing year for us, and a common theme we heard was desire to learn more and get to know others better in the new year. Please come out and join in some great discussions in 2012. OWLS stands for “Older, Wiser Lesbians,” although all are welcome.

Topics for the 1st Quarter Include:

Jan 16th – Who In Your Life Inspired you?

Feb 20th – Is there a book that you\’ve read or a movie that you’ve seen recently that you would like to share with others?

March 19th –  Resource Night! I am LGBT and I want more information about events, groups, happenings in Richmond, Where can I go?

The OWLS discussion group will meet on the third Monday of the month to discuss topics of interest in the lounge from 7 to 8:30 pm. Are you an OWL? You decide! We are mostly over 40, and we hope that we are all a little wiser for it. We laugh a lot, talk about the topic and the conversation sometimes diverges into the stratosphere. It’s time to pick topics – join us and let us know what you want to talk about.

I have been in Richmond (this time) for 3 years. I am an introvert … NOT shy … just not verbose, loquacious, nor convivial except in private or intimate groups. Consequently, I do not go anywhere much. And am real anxious to meet other ladies 40+. Unfortuntately I will be away until May 2012 and not attending the March meeting. I would TRULY appreicate if someone would make the “about events, groups, happenings in Richmond, Where can I go?” information available on the RLF Flyer.
