Whether you’re moved by our programs for GLBT seniors, committed to our advocacy work, enjoy our concerts and activities, attend one of our support or discussion groups or applaud the assistance we give to other LGBT supportive agencies and groups, membership in the Gay Community Center of Richmond is a great way to help us to continue and expand our important work. Our ability to provide programs and services and grant other organization the use of our facility depends on the financial support of involved community members like you.
We rely on the generosity of individual donors to operate and maintain our Center, and our need for individual donations has doubled in 2011!
Approximately 63% of our revenue comes from our Thrift Store operations and 21% comes from Diversity Bingo. The rest is largely met by donations from individuals and the generous support of corporations and foundations.
Joining the Gay Community Center of Richmond is an important way to help us continue to host and provide the programs and services Central Virginia’s LGBT community and supportive allies tell us they need.
Membership starts at just $35 and your benefits last for the whole year. Member benefits include 10% off all purchases at Diversity Thrift, and four free admissions to our programs and events. Membership in GCCR is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
